Confession

It has been said that confession is good for the soul. Whatever that means. Anyway, I feel compelled to confess that I did something that I have never done before. While I have had hundreds, even thousands, of opportunities to do so. It has been my vow that I would never do it, no matter what.

First, let me explain. It is my opinion that when I go into a store and make a purchase, I am entitled to the services that the store has to offer. The profits from my purchase include, or should include, access to basic service. This means that if I buy one or many products, I should have someone to check me out and put the stuff into bags to carry out of the store. I pay for the service. Hence, I never, ever, use the self-check out. But, I did today. At WallyMart. Because they only have one check out line or two at most, regardless of how long the lines get.

I did notice they have several employees monitoring the self-check out lines.

If they put them on the regular check out counters, there would be enough for folks to get better service.
