Flag Day

June 14, 1777 is the day that by resolution, the Second Continental Congress adopted the flag of the United States. It has been celebrated every year since. But what does it mean? In 1969 Red Skelton presented his version of the Pledge of Allegiance on his television show. There were almost a half million phone calls to TV stations and networks. A record of the presentation sold over 2 million copies.
