Here it is again - daylight saving time. Notice that it is not ‘savings’ time. Every year I complain about daylight saving time, and we still have it. Please make a note, World War II is over. That’s why we have this stupid practice. It was supposed to save energy.
Reality is that there is no energy savings by turning the clock forward. In fact, it may increase energy use. If you would like a 10 to 20 hour explanation on energy savings, let me know. Technological advances have more than made up for any savings perceived by losing an hour of sleep.
And, as usual I would like to remind you of the psychological impact DST has on animals. They still don’t know why humans are up so early and continue to be a nuisance at night. Let’s all ban together and demand that DST be repealed. Do it for the animals.
And me. I’m sleepy and that makes me grumpy.
