Don't Die Before You Do

What happens to humans when they retire and get old? They die. The sad part is that so many die before they die.

I don’t believe that it is intended for "seniors" to stay at home and wait for the next doctor appointment. However, millions do just that and develop a zombie like existence - the walking dead. Society has told them, "enjoy your golden years." "Do what you want to." Believe me, it doesn’t take long doing what you want to until you no longer want to.

The human spirit thrives on challenge. Of course, physical conditions prevent almost everyone from doing things like when they were twenty or thirty something. But, the spirit doesn’t give up unless you let it. It takes a little creativity to overcome physical limitations but that’s part of the challenge.

Who said that when you get old, you have to go home and sit - watch TV, read, play on the computer or just wait to die? Whomever it was, they lied. At this stage of life, there are more opportunities than ever before. Sure it takes more to get a little done, but doing a little is a lot more than nothing.

Maxine said, "I want to go out with a beer in one hand and a chocolate bar in the other, yelling wahoo, what a ride."
