If you had to choose an absolute last place in professional services, what would it be? I know what the last one would be for me. Would it be a doctor or dentist? Understand, I have a phobia about dentist, so they would be second last.
How about plumbers? Calling a plumber conjures up all kinds of images. How about auto mechanic. They usually aren’t as bad as their reputation.
Think about it. Lawyers! No one I know wants to have to use a lawyer. I don’t. The why’s are obvious. They know everything and are unyielding when arguing for hours. They get paid by the hour. Many times, criminal lawyers know their client is guilty, but they try to get them free if they can. It’s their job.
If lawyers are bad, and most aren’t, pray tell why do we send them to Washington to make laws. At this writing, almost forty percent of Congress are lawyers or at least have a JD degree.
It just doesn’t make sense to have people representing us that are by training and instinct prone to worry more about defeating their opponent than they do for the common good of the people they represent.
