Young people view old people as some sort of antique used to be geezers. You know the type, the ones that talk about all their aches and pains or their latest trip to the doctor. The ones that retreated into a lonely shell and sit by the phone waiting for someone to call. People that have given up and accepted what society would have them be, just some old fool that needs to stay out of the way.
They let their brains go to mush and spend their days watching televison or now days playing games on a computer. There is no or at best very little socializing with peers or younger friends. Basically, they are just waiting to die. This is how society views them. Someone to pity and overlook.
You know what’s worse than being though of as one of those old people? Actually letting yourself become one of those old people.
