I’ve been observing again. That is what I do. This time, I have been noticing how many kinds of roads we have. There are interstate and state highways. And, there are pikes, loops, spurs, bypasses, toll roads, county roads, streets and private roads. Usually, all of these are designated by a prefix when identifying them. For example, I35, Texas 131 or CR 1111.
But, in East Texas, although they are not official roads, we have more. There’s DR for dirt roads. CT for cow trail or PT for pig trail. BR stands for back road.
If you see one that has the prefix, HNIWIG, pronounced hiney'-wig, it’s best not to take it, especially if you are in a hurry.
Have No Idea Where It Goes.
