One would think with all the rainfall we’ve had, all the bugs would have drowned by now. Not so. In East Texas there are bugs left over from the ice age. And, since the sun came out, all the bugs are out getting a tan or something. It is my job to spray the bugs so they will move somewhere else - like Florida.
Over the years I’ve used several types of insecticides, but now about the only one the government will allow is a fruit flavored diuretic, or some such concoction.
I happen to have a bottle of stuff that is not only supposed to kill the little pest, but make them suffer before they die. Not sure of how much to mix with water in a sprayer, I usually just use about ten ounces per gallon. I test it for potency by spraying a few spiders. When they fall instantly, the mix is right.
Maybe next time I will try the fruity diuretic.
