The rhetorical question of the day is, “How stupid can some people be?” A four year old boy falls into a gorilla habitat at a zoo and the big news is, “Did the gorilla have to be killed? Why couldn’t the zoo response team just tranquilize the 400 pound gorilla that was dragging the child around?”
Even after an animal behavior expert stated that the right call was to protect the human child, the diatribe on social media supporting the animal was insane. It doesn’t matter whose fault it was for the child to fall into the habitat, or what should have been done to prevent such an occurrence. The only thing that mattered in the brief minutes they had was to take down the animal. A gorilla can literally rip arms and legs off a person in seconds.
Just when I think people can’t get any crazier, they prove me wrong again. We should get their names so if they should ever be in a similar spot, everyone will know not to shoot the gorilla.
It is so true, “You can’t fix stupid.”
