Birth Rate

According to a report released by the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the birth rate in the United States hit al all-time low in 2011 - (CNSNEWS). More than 40 percent of all babies born were born to unmarried women.

The preliminary number shows almost four million births which is not a sufficient growth rate to maintain a society of our size. Therefore, it is feasible that in a few years, when all old fogies die off, the country will be left without the ability to support itself economically or defensively. Not a good picture.

Back in the "day" men and women got married and had babies. Then they raised them. But all that has apparently changed. Today, there are protest for abortions and birth control to be paid by tax payers. Does this seem right to you?

If the "old way" wasn't good, how did most of us get here?

Getting older means that you realize a little more on how all this is supposed to work. When the natural plan is abandoned or altered, the facts are that the new plan won’t work. And the price is more than anyone can imagine.

It is unlikely that I will live long enough to see the total collapse of our society, but my grandchildren will. That makes me very sad.

What can be done to change the course and destiny? Absolutely nothing. Nobody is willing to listen to old folks or history.

I got all that from a report that is nothing more than numbers. Kind of makes you wonder about me, doesn’t it?
