The Drovers Cattle Network reports there is a cattle ranch outside Houston, Texas that is pairing beer with it’s hay supply. And, they are using an award winning brew from Saint Arnold Brewing Company. Not the cheap stuff.
Texas T Kobe ranch in Wallis, Texas adds the beer to the hay they feed to "improve digestion" on their Kobe beef herd. Kobe is the taste good meat with marbling. Ranch owner Gene Terry says the cattle prefer the hay with beer mixed in over the regular hay, according to the report. Well, I can see why. Talk about your contented cows.
I wonder if that would work with shredded wheat cereal. It looks like hay, taste like hay and comes in small bales, and people eat it to help digestion.
Just asking.
