Honda Odyssey now offers a vacuum cleaner on board. Say what? That’s right, if you buy the top-of-the-line Touring Elite, sticker price $45,280, it comes with a vacuum cleaner. I know family haulers get some tough use, but is there a need for a built in vacuum? Come on people. If your family is so trashy that you have to stop and vacuum out the van every few miles, you need to change your lifestyle.
The vacuum operates with the engine running so I guess you could vacuum why you drive. Here’s a picture: driving along, sending text messages, listening to your satellite radio, checking out your GPS navigation screen and cleaning up the food you drop while doing the aforementioned. It only operates eight minutes with the engine off, so you may have to hurry to get all the debris out.
Do you really want or need a vacuum in the family van? What’s next? A flushing toilet? Hey, that’s not a bad idea.
That would capture the old people market.
