My financial controller has a new puppy, which means I have a new puppy when she is away on business. Why is it that when she is out of town, the dog has a problem? When I say problem, I’m talking doggie diarrhea. That’s right, and I’m talking white carpet. This is not in my job description.
After getting the dog outside and thinking about dyeing the carpet brown, I called the vet for solutions. That was another mistake. Veterinarians always want you to bring the dog in for a check up. I won’t bore you with all the details, but they gave the dog a shot of something, a bottle of medicine to take home, with no explanation or diagnosis and a bill. Medical doctors don’t charge as much as vets. I did get a senior discount of five percent. Heck, I get a ten percent discount at the Dairy Queen.
Next time, I’ll take the dog to the Dairy Queen.
