Movies

I really enjoy a good movie, but I don’t like to go to a theater. About every ten years or so, I will go to a theater if I find a movie that is worth the effort. A couple of examples: "Field of Dreams," "Saving Private Ryan," and "Secretariat." I subscribed to a movie service for awhile, but got tired of the really bad movies they offered. A few months ago, I signed up again with hopes that the selection had improved. I was wrong again.

First there are so few movies that I want to see. I am quite a critic and have some credentials to back up my opinions. Second, the movies that are available today are at best, something any middle school drama club could do a better job on.

My case in point today is a movie about was supposed to be about the last hours of the life of Hank Williams, the country music legend. Except for the horrible acting, the wrong props, the lack of a script and any factual information, the movie was still terrible. That’s why I don’t go to a theater.

At, home I just turn the Blu-Ray player off.
