I have long wondered what the result would be if we could get churches (Christian denominations) to conduct a simple survey on what the congregations truly believe. The survey would be completely anonymous, with the only information required to be an age range, male or female, and married or single. All of the answers would be yes or no.
Here are a few examples of the questions:
Are you a Christian?
Do you truly believe there is heaven and hell?
Do you believe the Church needs to change with the times?
Do you believe abortion is a woman’s right?
Do you support same sex marriage?
Do you support marriage with multiple spouses?
Do you support government taking religion out of schools and business?
The list of questions could go on, but they would have to be few so it takes about a minute to complete the survey. Of course, there are a lot details on how the survey would have to be conducted.
I suspect that the results would be quite interesting and wonder how many would choose to participate.
And, I wonder how many pastors would want to know the answers.
