If we didn’t live out in the country, I would get an antenna and do away with cable or satellite services. It is and will continue to be a constant problem, as we have experienced both since we’ve been here. We are currently using a cable service, and I have 30 pages of documentation on service issues. That’s 30 pages, single spaced. I know all the technicians, and most of the office personnel by their fist name. The sad part is that they are better than the alternatives.
It is terrible that we all have become dependent upon TV and internet services. Back in the day, everyone had an antenna and on a good day you could get 3 or 4 channels on TV, and there was no internet. That may not sound like much fun, but it was more fun than dealing with all the problems associated with progress. Yes, I am a grumpy old man that watches television about an hour per day, two hours if you count the comedy shows known as the "news." But, I do believe that in many cases, simple is better. Neither TV nor the internet save me much time and they cost a lot more money.
Gripe, complain, and vent. If I could, I would use rabbit ears.
They won’t let us have rabbits in the commune we live in.
