The party primaries are here again in Texas. Translated that means every other commercial on televison is about how some wannabe is going to save the world. Looking at the candidates on the right, there doesn’t seem to be a penny worth of difference. The ones on the left sing the same song they’ve sung for the past hundred years.
I heard a commercial on radio today about how the candidate was going to make big corporations pay their fair share of taxes and save Social Security. Again, translated that means, "Hello stupid people, vote for me." Politicians can’t save Social Security because they are the ones that broke it in the first place. Now, the only solution is to raise taxes to 100% or let it go broke. And, the idea of big corporations paying their fair share, just how much do they pay now? Pick a biggie like Microsoft or how about General Motors or Ford. They all pay exactly the same amount - zero. Taxes are passed along to the consumer, so if you raise their taxes, you raise the cost of the product or service. Let’s raise their taxes to 100% and see what a new car cost. People really believe a politician is going to do what he/she claims?
I have some ocean front property in East Texas for sale.
