Death Penalty

According to Newsmax, the 2013 International Religious Freedom Report found in some Islamic - majority countries, Muslims who convert to Christianity or another religion face execution. In Afghanistan, where American troops are fighting and dying, Islam is the religion of the state and conversion is considered an act of apostasy, punishable by death if the convert does not recant, according to the report.

There are numerous countries listed in the report including Saudi Arabia, where apostasy can result in death. Iraq, Iran, Sudan, and Qatar are among the list.

It is also interesting to note that any child fathered by a Muslim is considered a Muslim, regardless of the mother’s religion. How about that?

In the Baptist church, we don’t have punishment like Muslims. But, you can be seriously injured if you are not careful.

You might get a fork in the back of your hand if you reach for the last piece of fried chicken at a pot luck dinner.
