We don’t have a lot of choices for televison reception in East Texas. There are two satellite companies, one cable, and the ever not popular, off the air antenna. The one thing they all have in common is that they don’t work very well.
Antennas don’t work because there are about a million trees in the way of the transmission towers. Oh, if you are willing to erect a 500 ft tower, you can get some reception. The satellite companies go off every time it gets cloudy. And, the cable service will be better they said. Just not in my lifetime.
I don’t watch a lot of televison, but I do like to catch a newscast or two and especially weather reports so I can hope that it rains and I won’t have to mow the lawn. The only way I can tell if it’s going to rain now is to turn on the satellite service.
If it’s not on, it’s going to rain.
