I’m only guessing, but I suspect that almost everyone has had or will have a medication side effect. While I try to avoid medications, I do take some occasionally - if there is no other choice. And, I have had some serious side effects, like when I had my tonsils out at age 27, and was given a codeine pill for pain. That’s when I discovered I am allergic to codeine. It caused me to viciously vomit. And, that was just one example. I don’t do well on medications.
However, the past few days have demonstrated just how bad a medicine side effect can be. I was given an antibiotic and took it for about four days before I stopped. It caused me to have serious achy joints, headaches and loss of appetite. I am too skinny to have a loss of appetite.
When I finally became aware that the drug was causing loss of appetite, I stopped taking it. This may be the worse side effect ever for me. My loss of appetite included my second addition - Twix candy bars.
Giving up Twix is not an option - for any disease.
