Income Equality

Would you be surprised to learn that 70% of the budget to run this country has nothing to do with running the government functions? It has been said that 70% of the trillions of dollars taken in by government are simply transferred from one person or place to another. It’s the old working people support non-working people. Of course, there’s also the government employees in the middle that get paid to handle all the transferred money. But, there is still the cry for income equality.

Income equality means that after the truly poor have their basic needs met, food, clothing and shelter, they should have free money, free cell phones, TVs, cars, free anything and everything any working person has. In other words, Marxism.

I have written before about how poor I was as a boy. In those days, we had to drive to a food distribution center and pick up "government commodities." They were terrible - except the cheese. There were no food stamps or cards. While it was a trying time, it was a positive time. I made up my mind that I would not always live that way.

There are so many opportunities today for almost anyone to improve themselves. All it takes is education and a determination to work.

That’s true income equality.
