Five Faces

Back in the old days it was common to refer to someone as being, "two faced," meaning they were not as nice as they pretend to be. Reality is that we all have five faces, or we are five different people.

First there is the person that the world knows. Those at work, church, school, or the clerk at your favorite store.

Secondly, there is the person that your friends know. This is the person that feels comfortable with some of his/her faults around other people.

Third, is the person that the family knows. This person has a lot of faults but doesn’t care. Hey, it’s family and you can get by with a lot.

Then, there’s the person that you know. This is the person that hides the darkest secrets from everyone else, and knows limitations and shortcomings.

Finally, there is the person that God knows. It is best to focus on improving the one that God knows.

That will fix any faults with all the others.
