By the time you read this Super Bowl 51 will probably be over. The National religion face off between the New England Patriots and the Atlanta Falcons will captivate millions, if not billions. Except me. I don’t watch football or any other sport on TV. While I do enjoy a good game at the stadium, $25,000 tickets are a little out of my budget for entertainment - like $24,000 and that’s for more than a year.
I just want to say that for the most part, football is a game enjoyed by so many people has potential to go away. Think about it. Players refusing to stand for the National Anthem, rivalries that cause civil unrest in some cases, and just the cost to attend a game, not to mention the politics and money that rule the game.
Can you imagine no football? It consumes high schools and colleges. Even the little ones get into peewee football. Reality is that under "nanny" rule, football is doomed. You could get hurt and that is not acceptable. Perhaps no contact football would work. You know, the kind where players all get a participation trophy.
I wonder if Bud would still be a sponsor.
Probably not, it might involve animal cruelty.
