For the past few weeks, I’ve been reading Ripley’s Believe It or Not! I used to read this about a million years ago when I was growing up. Most of the time it is just a quick glance and then I’m off to checking the latest version of the news. However, I read one that has some interesting info.
Did you know that horses can only breathe through their nostrils and not their mouths? I don’t think I knew that.
In 1966 Thomas Bayard, of Illinois, patented a vibrating toilet seat designed to prevent constipation. I am absolutely sure I did not know that.
And, U.S. president Grover Cleveland won the 1884 election with fewer votes than he received in the 1888 election which he lost. Another one that I did not know. And, I really don’t care.
There you have a few tidbits you may not have known.
I bet there is a big book of stuff I don’t know somewhere.
