When you grocery shop, do you check the expiration date on what you buy? I do. As a matter of fact, I go to extreme. On some packaged products, the date is hard to find, but I look at everyone on the shelf until I find the date. In the meat counter, I drag out all the meat products and look for the one that is the most fresh. I try to find one that still moo’s, oinks, or clucks. I want fresh.
On the other hand, groceries place the oldest products on the front so they can keep their inventory rotated. And, the average shopper just grabs the one in front, but not me.
Some people think I take this to extreme. Maybe. Maybe not.
Why don’t they put dates on toilet tissue? TV ads proclaim such products that make you feel fresh.
Inquiring minds want to know, when the freshness expires.
