The question of the day is, "What do you love?" People are constantly saying they love this or that. "I love my new car," or "I love my new shoes." There is even a TV commercial that suggests that you love your laxative. That’s a hard one to believe.
The issue is that the word, love, has become almost worthless. If one loves everything, even laxatives, then it is no wonder that there is doubt when one says, "I love you." "Do you love me as much as you love your new car?" How about your house, gym shoes, fried pickles, or new computer?
To say, "I love" should have meaning. Real meaning. Like love for parents, spouse, siblings, your country or a select few friends. Before you say, "Oh, I just love.......," ask yourself a simple question.
Are you willing to die for it?
