Immigration

Exactly what are the laws governing immigration in this country? That seems to be a question that no one can easily answer. My short research reveals that no one can easily answer the question. Therefore, it appears that no one really knows. Yet, everyday we hear about immigration laws.

The founding fathers set limits on immigration in 1790, but changes have occurred multiple times since then. It seems to me that the solution is to simply pass a law that replaces all the other laws. I’m guessing that will never happen because the liberals want to let everybody in and the conservatives want more control than that.

Which ever position you may take on illegal immigration, the reality is that to preserve a nation, it is necessary to control those entering with limits and qualifications. Just look at Mexico’s immigration laws. If you enter illegally, they arrest you and put you in jail. Then they send you home.

There is no other country in the world with immigration laws like the United States.

Maybe there is a reason for that.
