Trading Cars

I do think I could write a large book on trading cars. It is just not fun. But, my financial officer wants a new car. We have, or I have, been on-line comparing and pricing as well as making trips to dealerships to get up close and best deal prices.

A couple of days ago, we decided upon a vehicle but the dealer would have to get it from another dealer. They promised it would be here today before noon. Guess what? It wasn’t. It won’t be available until tomorrow.

Meanwhile back in time at the dealership. My financial officer had agreed on another vehicle I had arranged for based upon what she said she wanted, but when we got there, she changed her mind several times. Every time she would look at another option, she changed her mind and cost more money. This is what caused us to have to wait for the dealer transfer.

But it looks like we may be getting the new SUV tomorrow. I emphasize may! Car dealing makes me tired. But almost everything makes me tired.

Just so you’ll know, she got leather, ambient lighting - whatever that is - and all the electronics you can get on a dashboard. There’s also a sun roof or moon roof as some call it. It does let the sun in. However, on a test drive of a similar model, I tried it as a moon roof. You really can’t moon the car behind you and drive at the same time.

Country singer Jerry Reed said that if God had intended us to have cars, we would all be born with a parking space.

Amen.
