Garage Sale

My in-laws have sold their house and so they had an estate/garage sale, with the help of my financial controller, daughter, granddaughter, sister-in-law and who knows who else. I didn’t help. They left me in charge of the dogs back at the compound.

These are a few brief highlights of the sale. First, father-in-law, now 91, invited early arrivals to come on in before everything was ready. He later was moved to the garage where he sold every item for $1 each. I do hope the car wasn’t in the garage. Next, he hid mother-in-law’s purse behind a sofa and forgot where he put it. That took several hours to find. And, the next day, mother-in-law, 86 years old, hid her own purse in a closet and forgot where she put it. Another treasure hunt that lasted several hours. Are, you beginning to see a pattern here? I am glad I missed all the fun.

As I got the reports, I kept waiting for him to hide her and they both forgot where they were or where they were supposed to be.
