Obsessed

Are you obsessed with something? The correct answer is yes. We even have some that so obsessed, the shrinks classify them as having obsessive compulsive disorder - OCD. Fortunately most don’t require psychotherapy or drugs, but even if you don’t recognize it, you probably have an obsessed.

We have a relative that is obsessed with tying his shoe laces. They have to be perfect or he will retie them several times. If my shoe laces don’t come undone, they are okay by me.

But, I am obsessed with the safety and security of those that mean the most to me. I get all bent out of shape if I don’t know where they are and are they safe. We have always had the "habit" of checking on each other. Cell phones made this a lot easier, but my daughter doesn’t always answer. She thinks that she is over 40 she can take care of herself. Silly girl. I didn’t let out of the house when she was born until she was six weeks old. I didn’t want to let her out until she was 40, but that didn’t work out. Before you do a little arm chair analysis, I do not check up on family, I just check to be sure they are safe and sound.

Nannies are obsessed with controlling other people’s lives. Politicians are obsessed with getting elected and reelected. Some of them are obsessed with golf too.

Obsession is something you have to do even when you are not always aware you do it.

I am also obsessed with winning a game of Spider Solitaire with over 1300 points.

Maybe I should give up on that one.
