According to interpretations of the Constitution over the years since it was written, any person that comes into the United States, legally or illegally has the same rights as a citizen. The exceptions are if you are a citizen, you can vote and run for political office.
Of course, you have the right to work and pay taxes while most of the non-citizens work off the books for cash and send their money back to where they came from. Citizens also have the right to pay more taxes to support non-citizens, so they can send their money home.
Is this a great country or what?
