Chicken Plucker

I need to get out more.  Oh, I admit that I am not up to date on a lot of stuff, like smart phones. And, more and more I find that I no longer speak the language: you guys; emoji; hashtag; and who knows what else. Truth is that if technology doesn’t apply to me, I simply ignore it. However, I do find myself a little embarrassed when I discover advances in tools or guns that I did not know about.

But, today, I became aware that I am so far behind the times, that I did not know there is a machine that can pluck a chicken in 15 seconds or less. This is a giant step from the way we had to remove the feathers from said chickens. One had to dip them in hot water and then pull them out. It was not a pleasant task.

Oh, I guess in the back of my mind, I knew that commercial chicken producers had to have a better way that dropping them in hot water, but just think, you can go down to a local farm store and get a machine that snatches the chickens bald in seconds.

Makes me wish I had a chicken.

I wonder if the machine would work on squirrels?
