IACD

Have you heard about IACD? I had not until today, Saturday, December 9, and it is International Anti-Corruption Day. It began in 2003 when voted by the delegates to the United Nations.

The UN Convention stated in part that there is a "concern about the seriousness of problems and threats posed by corruption to the stability and security of societies, undermining the institutions and values of democracy, ethical values and justice and jeopardizing sustainable development and the rule of law."

The delegates to the Convention are to "promote and strengthen measures to prevent and combat corruption and ......promote integrity, accountability and proper management of public affairs and public property."

Looks like I would have heard about this before now.

Obviously, D.C. and, the media still haven’t heard about it.
