There has been much discussion and independent action to ignore or circumvent the Constitution. After all it gets in the way of political plans and ambitions. Ignoring the Constitution is easy to do, because the people don’t know or don’t care.
And, John Adams did say, "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people."
