News Flash - it’s summer time in Texas and it’s hot. General Phillip Sheridan said, "If I owned Texas and Hell, I would rent out Texas and live in Hell." The general just didn’t like our weather.
For as long as I have been around, and apparently as long as anyone has been around, it gets hot every year in the summer in Texas. Yet, all the talking heads keep making a big deal out of the temperature. They like to cite records and compare our current somatic sensation.
Mark Twain said, "Everybody talks about the weather, but nobody does anything about it." The truth is that it is hot, and people are going to complain about it.
As I went out to retrieve the snail mail today, I noticed that my flag was flying south, indicating a northerly wind. When I came back inside and checked my weather center, I was pleased to see that the temperature was only 41 degrees. That’s Celsius. In Fahrenheit, it was 105.8 .
Get used to it. It's summer time in Texas.
Hotter than Hell?
Probably not.
