The Washington Examiner reports that $90 billion in green energy stimulus equals to about 16,000 jobs. If you do the math, it calculates out to be about $5.6 million per job. I don’t think you are going to see this in Obama’s reelection campaign ads.
If you recall a short time ago I wrote that garbage collection is deemed to be a green job. There were supposed to be 200,000 new energy-related jobs from the $90 billion. That would have been $400,000 per job. That’s still a ridiculous amount. It would have been cheaper to just write a $100,000 tax free check to each of the 16,100 workers.
So, here’s the deal. I take one of the $5.6 million jobs provided they let me work the hours I want to work.
And, I will need a 15% raise each year, 12 weeks of vacation, 27 holidays, 15 personal days, and full medical/dental insurance at no cost to me.
What kind of green job am I qualified to do? Drive a green golf cart.
Of course it needs to have air conditioning and heat.
