SCOTUS

Have you read the Constitution? Don’t feel bad. Neither has the supreme court. There is absolutely nothing in it that would allow citizens to be taxed for doing nothing. Nor, is there anything that clearly requires individuals to buy anything.

Whether you agree or disagree with the SCOTUS ruling about "Obama Care", you have witnessed the highest court in the land, write law. This is not in their jurisdiction. Apparently they don’t know that only congress can write law. They are bad enough at it, they don’t need the court to help.

By declaring that the populous can be required and taxed if they don’t participate in a socialist program, are they not taking steps that will open doors to future rulings of similar maleficence? After all, law is driven by precedents.

Isn’t being taxed for not doing something, like getting a speeding ticket when you don’t own a car?

Maybe we can get people taxed for not being Baptist. We could use the money.

I didn’t hear an amen on that one.
