If you do evil for a good reason, is it okay? How about if you do good for an evil reason? I suppose a lot of people don’t really know the difference between good and evil. The entertainment industry and the media encourage you to do what feels good - wether it is evil or not.
I am not sure that Americans truly believe there is evil any more. Sure, if you oppose abortion, gay marriage, or controlling masses with "free" living, you are evil. But, there are so many contradictions. At least for now, sex between adults and children is still condemned, but children are encouraged to have sex. Animals have more rights than humans, and it is the human that is evil.
There is an old story about a wise old Indian who taught his grandson, "You have two wolves that live inside you. One is good and one is evil. They are in constant battle." The boy asked, "Which one wins?" The old man’s reply, "The one you feed."
Remember Edmund Burke said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing."
