Breibart.com reports that some rural residents of Englewood, Florida are fighting a proposed housing development by putting up signs warning potential new neighbors about what happens on farms. Specifically mentioned are noise, odors and outdoor sex. Fact is farm animals make funny souinds, smell bad and have sex outdoors. The signs are intended to be a warning.
It’s like moving next to an airport and complaining about the traffic patterns. People do that all of the time. And, it happens all over the country. Reading the comments about the post reveals there are people from numerous states complaining about those people that move in and immediately want to change everything. We have a bunch of them in Texas. Yes, even in East Texas.
It’s all part of the "nanny" mind set. Which is to say, "I will tell you what you can and cannot do."
It doesn’t work real well on grumpy old men.
