Security

Every week I do the shopping. I really don’t shop because if it’s not on my list, I don’t want it. This week at our not to distant grocery, I found a large crowd of people carrying long guns. For you that don’t know, that’s rifles and shotguns. At first I thought it was one of the pro-open carry demonstrations but it was wrong. Turns out one of the group had bought a couple of rib eye steaks and the others were there to act as security until he could get them to his truck. I think they escorted him home too.

When steaks hit $30 per pound, it is time to start raising cows. I’m thinking a black angus bull in my back yard. I can sell the fertilizer to all the old ladies for their flower beds and maybe charge any grandkids that come around to pet him. We do have rules against keeping livestock, but I’ll put a collar on him and say he’s a pet.

And so far as fertilizing the flower beds. I’ll just feed him a bale of hay and back him up to the flower beds.

Sometimes I amaze myself with all my great ideas.
