How Was Your 4th?

People ask, "How was your 4^th?" It’s kinda like, "How was your weekend, or holiday, etc." They really don’t want to know. They just want you to say, "It was fine."

I have decided that what we need is a scale to measure such events. One that would allow the questioner to understand the responder. Maybe, we could use the five star system. "My 4^th was a definite 3 stars." The old one to ten thing would be a little outdated and more complicated. "I’d give my 4^th a 5.5." Then you would get someone like me that would respond, "My 4^th was a 6 and 7/8s."

I’m waiting for someone to ask me how was my 4^th.  I going to ask them what scale they use.

People usually just walk away from me.
