There’s a speciality meat store not far from us, so I decided to stop and see what they had to offer. The short answer is, a lot of very expensive steaks, chops and fish. But, they also had jerky. One of my favorites.
I browsed the selection of flavors and chose my usual hickory smoked flavor. To be sure I liked it before making a large purchase, I bought just one 2 ounce package. That’s one piece. I took it to the register to find that it cost $6.00. It is good, but not that good. Do the math. That’s $48.00 per pound.
I wonder what the whole cow cost?
