More Communication

We have a lot of conversation but dang little communication. I’ve said that before. And, I tire of talking or listening when there is no communication. There are lots of reasons for the lack thereof. But every now and then, one does experience real communication and it is a real pleasure.

A simple example is a trip to the neighborhood hardware store. "I need a thing-a-ma-jig that connects the whats-ma-call-it to the do–hickey." The clerk replies, "What size?"

Now, that’s communication.

He suggested I get a large roll of duct tape, just in case.
