Okay, I know I am old and set in my old ways. That’s why I like a calendar on my desk - not on the wall or phone. For several years, my friend in the speciality advertising business provided me with a small standup desk calendar. Then he retired. So, I found out that my insurance agent had the same calendar. They have been providing me with one for the past several years. I always get two of them about the end of October. Not this year.
I called my agent and asked about the calendars. They told me they had big wall calendars but no desk calendars. After I explained to them that I may have to start shopping for an agency that has the right kind of calendar, I was promised they would be on the case and get some. All I can say is that mine better get here before December 31.
When you’re retired, it’s hard to tell one day from another without a calendar.
