We recently replaced the windows in our house. Naturally, I had some people come out and give me some bids, and then I made a choice based upon the information I had gathered. The dealer I chose came and installed the windows, but had to make two trips to get the job done. But, the glass in the windows is green.
I worked in energy efficiency for almost 30 years and I’ve never seen green glass. It doesn’t work very well because it reflects a green hue over the frames. So, instead of beige windows, I have green windows. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a house with green windows.
I talked to the installing dealer and he said to call the window company. I called and wrote to the window company and they said to talk to the installing dealer.
A word of caution. Never buy a product built by Associated Materials, especially the Gentek window line.
I think I will find someone else to talk to.
