My in-laws live in an assisted living center, nearby. My wife checks on them everyday to ensure they are okay and getting what they need and want. Recently the management of the center held a meeting to warn residents of thefts. Guess what? This week someone took some money from the in-laws apartment.
It is a sad testimony for our society where people steal from those least able to protect themselves and their belongings. I am led to believe that this is common practice in nursing homes and other facilities like assisted living. And, usually it is an employee that commits the crime.
What kind of people steal from the elderly? That’s a rhetorical question. But, I do have an answer.
Scum of the lowest level.
