In case you have missed it, I have a list of Life Rules that are occasionally posted. In light of the recent events in Paris and around the world, I call your attention to rule #22: “Only you can protect you.”
Ladies and gentlemen, the bottom line in life is that you have to be responsible for protecting yourself. You have to learn to lock your doors and windows, don’t drive or go places you know that are not safe and be prepared to take whatever action it takes to survive. Do not assume that someone will come to your aid in a life and death situation. Learn to defend yourself with what ever is available. It is true, “The most powerful weapon is your brain, provided you can use it when your life is in danger.”
Don’t think that the police or fire departments will protect you. While they do outstanding work, they can’t be everywhere. “When seconds count, the police are only minutes away,” is what we gun nuts always say.
Be prepared. Lean what to do. Make up your mind before you face intimate danger.
It’s your life. The only one you’ll ever have.
