I like dogs, but am allergic to them. However, it seems I encounter more dogs than anyone. Perhaps that’s because they see me as an easy touch. Somehow they know that I give special treatment to animals. Why shouldn’t I, animals make more sense than people.
We doggie sit the "grand dogs" pretty often because my ace number one daughter travels on her job and the dogs have to have a place to stay. The dogs get to lay around and sleep most of the day, eat well and stay cool or warm, depending upon the season. We also have a yard where they can run and play and answer natures’ call.
What I have learned over the years is that dogs like treats, so these hounds get plenty. I save meat scraps and once per day, I feed some to the mutts. The amazing thing is that they know I’m preparing their treats. Maybe twenty times a day I go to the kitchen and open the frig, but the one time I take out ‘doggie’ treats, the dogs get all excited. It’s as if they have an extra sense that rings a bell.
Over the years, I have spoiled dogs. Maybe that’s why they like me.
I’ve tried spoiling people, but it doesn’t work.
They don’t have doggie sense.
