It is the responsibility of the Federal government to protect the borders. There are numerous laws that forbid illegal entry into the United States, for obvious reasons. The obvious reasons include stopping the illegal flow of drugs, preventing persons from coming here and committing crimes and then running back across the border, and stopping those that would come in and destroy the country from within. Yet there are millions that enter every year, and no one knows what they will do. It is reasonable to say that illegal immigration has now become an invasion.
The President has the authority to enforce the laws and is derelict in his duties if he does not defend our borders. Yet, there are cities popping up everywhere that proclaim they will not obey the laws. California wants to be a sanctuary state, in direct defiance of the laws to protect them and everyone else.
Judges have ruled that the President cannot enforce the laws. If this makes sense to anyone, then I am more concerned about them than I am about terrorists sneaking in. Why would anyone want to give the country away to those that have not built it?
"Breathes there a man who never to himself hath said, This is my own, my native land. This is my country, land of my birth. This is my country, grandest on earth."
If judges can disobey laws, how long will it be before the people disobey laws they don’t like?
