Old People Styles

As most young people do, when I was much younger I wanted to be in ‘style’ with my clothes and shoes. Hey, narrow ties may come back someday and I’ll be ready. I never did own a Nehru jacket, but I did have a ‘casual suit.’ It was pure polyester.

As time moved along, the way time does, I wore suits and ties with spit-shined shoes. I still think that some people should wear suits. But, now days, it’s now unusual to see people going anywhere and everywhere in cut off pants and a tee shirt, with a pair of flip flops. I really did take one of my dogs to a vet that wore a pair of khaki shorts, a Hawaiian shirt and went barefoot. And, he worked with large animals like horses and cows. I suppose he didn’t have to watch where he stepped so long as there was a water hose nearby.

As you get older, fashion becomes second to comfort. I’m not quite as bad as the vet, but I am getting close.  Cargo pants and a pair of ugly casual shoes work for me.

I don’t own a Hawaiian shirt, but wait until my next shopping spree.
